Small is 23.5" across and 22.75" tall — good over a bedside table or a smaller dining table. Medium steps up to 31.5" across and 30.75" tall, better suited to a larger dining table or a room with higher ceilings.

Do I need an electrician to install it?

No, it's rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms only — keep it away from outdoor spaces, bathrooms, or anywhere it could get wet.
